After a first day snub, Jamaicans Andre Russell and Krishmar Santokie have secured contracts at the Indian Premier League auction.

Russell will join the Kolkata Knight Riders in the cash-rich Twenty20 tournament for $60, 000.

He went  for twice the price of league debutante Krishmar Santokie, who was bought by Mumbai Indians.

There was no interest from any of the eight franchises for Marlon Samuels, Danza Hyatt and Nikita Miller.

In all seven West Indians have gained contracts, joining retained players, Chris Gayle,  Keiron Pollard, Sunil Narine and Dwayne Bravo.
