But Benjamin arugues that regional cricket is being hampered by what he described as "small-mindedness" of cricket officials in the region.

"You can't have someone in Jamaica like a Danza Hyatt who is probably better than most of the Leeward Islands batsmen sitting down because Jamaica's selectors did not select him," Benjamin said.

"We can't have someone like a Miguel Cummins in Barbados, because he wasn't selected in the Barbados squad sitting down. How are these guys going to help West Indies cricket and they are decent players?

movement of Players between regional contenders is long overdue !

I fully endorse Sports as being part of CARICOM free tradeย  8)

Dem nah have freedom of movement in de region so expect no freedom of movement for cricketers.

Plus Leewards full of shyte - dey deserve tier 10.

Any team dat have a fatty playing for them deserves nothing.

U missing the Bus as per usualย  .....CARICOM trading has been going on for Decades.

Sports like Cricket, is also a tradeable commodity !

Look how all the Caricom players are currently being auction " traded " in the IPL 7 , India.

Kenny Benjamin should mention Windwards Captain Darren Sammy is Traded to Hyderabad Sunrisers !

CPL is also a showcase where Santokie plays for Guyana but cannot get a spot on Jamaica XIย  Wink

CCC is a similar concept so I see no reason why there cannot be a combined islands plus another team to pick up the players like Hyatt who are not getting games.

Or is it that the standard of the CCC should be raised and Hyatt and others, from all regions, get games through that avenue.
