Warren Moon had to endure in the Canadian football league for many years before signing with the Houston oilers, One black quarterback Doug Williams even won the superbowl (cant remember ) for either the Redskins or Tampa bay

there used to be a black QB for the Pittsburgh Steelers called "Jefferson Street" Joe Gillam who had the most amazing throwing skills imaginable.
this kid beat out Terry Bradshaw fair and square and was given the Job by Pittsburgh coach Chuk Noll
but they started a campaign to drive him out in Pittsburgh and he lost the job though Pittsburgh started 3-1 with him as QB.
Pittsburgh won the opener 34 to 28 or soemthing and they blamed the kid for a victory too close as if he was responsible for defense. he played offence and put up winning points. why was he to blame if the defence did not maintain a wide spread of victory
