Trash marks another vacant area in a residential neighborhood on 165th St. in Jamaica.                              They’re sick and tired of the trash in a heavily polluted pocket of Southeast Queens, but sometimes it can be difficult giving a hoot.
Local leaders say that Jamaica, South Jamaica, Hollis and St. Albans suffer from an “epidemic” of derelict lots and a persistent affliction of dumpers. The problem has proven harder then they thought it would be to correct.
