Pujara still aiming for ODI World Cup

India Test star Cheteshwar Pujara is determined to play in the one-day World Cup next year, saying he wants to impress upon the selectors that he is not just a five-day player.

Pujara averages 66.25 in Tests and has six centuries in 17 games, but he only has two ODI caps to him name after making his debut against lowly Zimbabwe. But he is not giving up on playing in the showcase in 2015.

Pujara said: "I do like to play the one-day format. Especially with the 2015 World Cup coming up, I hope I get a chance to play in that team. As a cricketer, everybody dreams to play the World Cup for Team India.

"When I was playing one of the Ranji games, India won the 2011 World Cup and we all were following the game. We felt really proud on India winning the World Cup

Pujara can play the perfect anchor role and as well as a make-shift opener.He surely has the guts of Dravid to face an attack and play them on merit.The Indian Team must be desperate for him but they aren't.
Also,he is a brilliant fielder and an excellent sportsman.I would demote Virat Kohli to the No:4 Position and bring in pujara to drop anchor at times of crisis.
