Yeah agree. Vintage test batting - I'm sure most would consider it "boring" for this era, but I kinda liked that they dug in like that. Dilruwan Perera looked great for a lower order batsman, as in patience wise.
I think they've batted Pakistan out of the game, unless someone bowls a great spell after Pakistan builds some lead.
And I would certainly think Ajmal's honeymoon period is over. It was far from a raging turner, but again - he bowled better in surfaces more placid than this. So his doosra and variations are proving to be somewhat ineffective now. Lets see if he can do something on the day 4/5 pitch, there should be some turn by then.
