The West Indies have lost one of their best batsmen on the eve of the second one-day cricket international against New Zealand, with Darren Bravo returning home for personal reasons.

A team spokesman said Bravo remained in Auckland after their two-wicket win in Thursday's series opener, and the 24-year-old had flown home to Trinidad. No further reasons were given for his departure.
