Shiv and Ramdin are the most successful batting pair or partnership (in terms of aggregate) for the WI over the last 5 years. They have 1033 runs in 16 innings at an average of 68.

Shiv and Nash had 854 at 71 in 13 innings.

Bravo and Samuels have 843 at 64 in 13.

Shiv and Bravo over the last 10 years: 1864 at 54 in 34 innings.

Shiv and Sars: 1671 at 59 in 30 innings.

Since Ramdin's return, he and Shiv put on 971 in 12 innings at 88 for the pair.

In conclusion, our top order sucks terribly.

Shiv and Ramdin had a lot of luck on their side yesterday. Shiv played two terrible shots which should have been caught, one hit back at the bowler, the other a loose lofty drive.

Ramdin has always been aggressive and reckless. He also should have been taken (three times), but I like his aggression. Our top order is petrified and cant pressure the bowlers at all. Ramdin at least looks like he wants to assert himself. He has serious problems keeping his cuts and off drives grounded, which means he tends to rely heavily on luck. I also believe he has very little control of most of his shots.

Looks like Shiv is going to run out of partners tomorrow, unless Sammy buckles down. Shiv didn't look comfortable at all during his innings, but I loved the way he stuck in and wasn't afraid to look ugly. Some of his boundries were sweet, and toward the end of the day he was showing glimpses of his class, playing the same ball efforlessly on either side of the field, toying with the fielders. On the flip side, the man looking old. He represents the end of an entire era.

it was a beautiful sight to watch these guys fightback.

That's a great pic. I like Shiv's cheeky smile.

And Ramdin's packing a lot of wood between his legs.

West Indies woes continue and so many people continue to call for Ramdin's head. Let's hope this 4th ton keeps them quiet. Ramdin is not Dhoni or Sangakarra or Gilchrist but West Indies have only 1 player in that league so why pressure Ramdin his average is as good as Ridley Jacobs so... talk nah!!!
