I have noted your posts in the short time I have been here.

May I ask? What is your great obsession with Chanderpaul and his numbers?

Surely his influence will be judged in the impact he has had on results?

If he plays all those test, and each innings, he will only need to score 19 runs a game to beat Lara's score. Does he deserve to, though?

* My profession involves numbers---tons of numbers.

* [size=14pt]I have a deep fascination with anything numbers.[/size]

* NUMBERS INTRIGUE ME.

* When it comes to West cricket---the only numbers that interest me are Shiv's numbers.

* When Lara was playing---his numbers also captivated me---and I used to have great fun comparing the great Lara and the good Shiv.

* I have been following Shiv's career ever since he debuted back in 1994---I saw(on TV) his 62 at Bourda against England.

* It has been a joy twisting and turning Shiv's numbers over the years---ask the Chairman and the others here.

* Many on other forums have been peeved off by my interest in Shiv's numbers---hopefully you are not one of those miserable souls.


BOTTOM LINE:

Pakistan's Misbah has the same approach as Shiv and regularly saves and wins games. The West Indies, however, simply cannot stay at the crease long enough for Shiv to have an impact. By the time Shiv is settled, the game is over.

* Shiv's detractors love to point out his numerous not outs--he now has 44---and accuse him of being selfish.

* The reason Shiv has 44 not outs is the clowns he bats with can't bat----they give their wickets away---and he gets stranded not out.

* Could you imagine if Shiv had played on a team with a stronger lower order ?

* Shiv has been a loyal servant of West Indies cricket for nearly 20 years.

* He has played in more tests than any other West Indian cricketer ?

* Shiv is the quintessential professional----he works hard---practices harder---takes his profession very seriously---and holds himself to a very high standard.

* As of today Shiv has played in 152 tests---he has scored 11,077 runs at a 51.52 average with 28 hundreds and 62 fifties.

QUESTION:
