DARREN SAMMY: His Test Career Should End After NZ

Madiba was also a good man as was Ghandi but I would not want either of them captaining a test team.

I would keep the same team with the possible exception of swapping Narine for Shillingford. Gabriel has the tools, from what I have seen, and young seamers, like other players, need time to get used to that level and because of the paucity ofย  your domestics competition, they will take longer.

I suspect this will be the end of Deonarine as he has not shown value for the opportunity he has been given by the manner in which he has been dismissed. He can, however, fill that number 6 position as he is quite handy.

Another finish in less than 3 days, again, and in quick succession means genuine, but not wholesale, changes are required as this has been a trend for a long time.

If one wishes to explore teams improvement, then NZ is just that. West Indies have actually won at home and against poor teams. NZ is included in that but at a time when they had massive internal turmoil.

* Did Shillingford get the OK to bowl the doosra again ? He has been struggling without the doosra in his repertoire.

* Gabriel is quite ordinary and so is Cottrell---but I would give Cottrel a shot in the 3rd test.

* The person who needs to go is Darren Sammy----hopefully the WI will suffer another innings defeat in Hamilton----and then Sammy will be fired.

* Otis Gibson also needs to be fired---but that's another thread.

* If Shilly is banned from bowling the doosra he is doomed to mediocrity.

* Only subcontinent bowlers are allowed to chuck and bowl the doosra.

I don't think Shilly is THAT dependent on the doosra tbf. I mean obviously it'd be a big blow if they ban him from bowling the doosra, but he's still good IMO. He can use his height to get the bounce and still gets to turn.

I agree though, I mean I haven't seen Shilly chuck anymore than Ajmal does, I mean to my naked eyes anyway.

Does the teeth have anything to do with this

* In 14 tests Shilly has taken 65 wickets

* That's an excellent 4.64 wickets per test

* Great bowlers usually average 4 wickets per test.

* Shilly's doosra is like a secret weapon----he doesn't use it often----it gives batsmen something extra to think about.

* If Shilly can no longer bowl the doosra his productivity(wkts per test) will suffer.

Remember folks! A West Indies defeat spells the end of Darren Sammy both as captain and as a test cricketer.

* If you are a Sammy groupie---start hoping and praying for a miracle win by the Windies.

* But after a 3 day shellacking in the 2nd test---the confidence level of WI players is in the toilet.

* And so the probability strongly favors another sound trashing for Sammy and his boys.

Wrong !

Ottis is blaming the Players after 3 years and a contract renewal !

Sammy is blaming his Seamers.

There will be NO changes......in Coach nor Captain.
