An Ontario teen is vowing not to go on any more “adventures," after he was stranded for four hours in the midst of cracking ice on Lake Simcoe.

Justin Copan, 14, had embarked, alone, on an afternoon walk across the frozen surface of Lake Simcoe to Fox Island east of Innisfil, Ont. He was walking home, in the dark, when the lake ice around him started to crack. Thinking fast, the boy said he laid flat on the ice and used his cellphone to call 911.

"We did have phone contact, but he was disoriented. He wasn't sure where he was and what he was looking at," Innisfil Deputy Fire Chief Tom Raeburn told CTV Toronto, explaining why it took emergency responders some time to find the teen.

At least 18 people have been killed and more than 40 injured in a stampede in India's western city of Mumbai.

Local officials say the incident happened when thousands of mourners gathered at the home of a Muslim spiritual leader who died on Friday.

Reports suggest people were crushed after the gates of the house where the body of Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin were kept were closed.

The leader of the Dawoodi Bohra community died aged 102.

The community are Ismaili Shias.

The deceased leader's funeral is expected later on Saturday.

Hundreds of people across India have died in similar tragedies in recent years.

In October, 115 people were crushed in a stampede at a Hindu festival in the central state of Madhya Pradesh.

In 2011 more than 100 died at a festival in the southern state of Kerala.

Inside Jodhpur's Mehrangarh Fort, more than 220 people were killed in 2008 in a stampede at the Chamunda Devi Hindu temple.

Madonna has apologized for using the N-word along with an Instagram photo of her son Rocco Ritchie.

"I am sorry if I offended anyone with my use of the N-word on Instagram," the singer said in a statement on Saturday, Jan. 18. "It was not meant as a racial slur...I am not a racist."

She added: "There's no way to defend the use of the word. It was all about intention...It was used as a term of endearment toward my son who is white. I appreciate that it's a provocative word and I apologize if it gave people the wrong impression. Forgive me."

This apology from the Material Girl comes on the heels of her adding a snapshot of her 13-year-old son boxing, along with the message "No one messes with Dirty Soap! Mama said knock you out!" along with the hashtag "#disni--a."

She quickly deleted the controversial comment and wrote, "Ok let me start this again. #get off of my d--k haters!"

Dennis Rodman Enters Rehab

Well, this might explain some of Dennis Rodman's more unusual behavior. The former NBA star and latest BFF of Kim Jong Un has apparently been in an alcoholic rehabilitation center on the East Coast for the past week. The 52-year-old made two well-publicized trips to North Korea, singing “Happy Birthday” to the dictator and blaming American Kenneth Bae for being held captive in the Hermit Kingdom. "Dennis Rodman came back from North Korea in pretty rough shape emotionally,” said his agent. “The pressure that was put on him to be a combination 'super human' political figure and 'fixer' got the better of him.”
