* The WI does not deserve to lose this test----they have fought admirably in their 2nd innings.

Truth be told , TEST cricket is mostly decided in the 1st innings .  Smile

Bravo you beauty! I take back all those things I said about you. You pulled off a Chanderpaul while looking like Lara. Kidos to Edwards, Deonarine, Ramdin and Sammy for their support. Even if we lose, I will forgive you West Indies. You showed fight and character. Thats all a fan could ask for. Rally round the West Indies.

Great inning, lil B!

Remember, "the next innings starts at Zero!"  Wink

This was the best West Indies test innings since Lara's double ton vs Pakistan.

Somebody above said Darren batted like Chanders whilst looking like Lara; a very apt describtion!

What is interesting is that Darrren's strike rate in all his test tons has been VERY LOW - 50s or lower. He does not have Lara's ability to pick gaps, dominate or accelerate, as seen by his wagon wheel, in which most shots occur on the off side. He relies heavily on cover drives.

Whilst Darren lacks Lara's skill, he has a very very strong desire for big scores. You can tell he idolizes this trait in Lara. When the match was over, in the press room, he said he had been tweeting with Lara during his lunch break.

Anyway, this was a tremenous fight back by the West Indies, and I hope Sammy can stick around for another 5 hours and possible get a hundred himself. Denish Ramdin let us down, as did Samuels.

It was a great innings by Bravo!

He looked hugely disappointed when he was bowled.

But that's crcket---all it takes is one ball to send you packing.

Well done again Darren.

YOUR NEXT INNINGS STARTS AT ZERO---according to the great Rohan kanhai.
