PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad (WINN) -- The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) has again been harshly criticized by Port of Spain-based academic Professor Norman Girvan, over the Dominican Republic citizenship matter.

Girvan expressed disappointment that a CARICOM Bureau meeting scheduled for Tuesday, which was to have discussed the matter, has been postponed without a new date being announced. The regional grouping has expressed some concern about the September 23 constitutional court ruling in Santo Domingo that strips tens of thousands of Dominicans of Haitian descent of their citizenship.

thats a forrin relations issue

remember:  CARICOM takes direction from washington/london in forrin relations.  they do not have, nor want  a voice or opinion of their own in these issues.

if allyuh memory good allyuh will remember that when there was an initiatory meeting on the implementation of NAFTA, all the west indian PM's hitched a ride on Chretiens plane.

the Canadian PM made dem all gather and den pass an pik dem up ::LOL:: ::LOL:: ::LOL:: ::LOL::

if Haitian life depend on west indian action they in serious truoble! :'( :'(

I cyar see how washington and london could be anywhere but on the side of the Dominicans.... who for the most part are black people.

thats right...Dominicans are like 90% black by white measurement..and maybe 70% otherwise.  and deh doing that to their own black people.

and no matter what,  Obama behind this one, like he did not mind the Jihadists in Libya wiping out the black population of that country.

Chairman loves Obama but Obama already have one genocide on his hands... while he is supervising one he did not start in the Congo....and this one in the making here

Doctor N Girvan is a brave man to come out as he has.

Voiceless Caricom governments doh like west indian citizens with big mout' no matter how many degrees deh have or books deh write.

he mus' know wat he doing.  Girvan is of age and experience to know his fellow west indian elites.  but he shud be careful.  dem fellas have a limit.  and it ent too far
