Home Affairs Minister Clement Rohee is still ill and has been absent from his desk since November 7.
Rohee was booked to travel to New York early Monday morning but he did not turn up for the flight, according to sources close to the Peoples Progressive Party (PPP) of which he is its General Secretary. Sources said he wanted to travel to the US to undergo further tests.
While his office had notified the media that he would have been at the Opening of the 4th meeting of the Caribbean Basin Security Initiative Commission, he was a no-show.
Instead, Prime Minister Samuel Hinds addressed the event at the Guyana International Conference Centre (GICC), Liliendaal but not before he announced that Rohee was still ill.
