But you are 100% correct---that was a nothing delivery---the great man just fell asleep for a millisecond and forgot to cover his off stump.

Oh well! The great man has to make some amends this week in Mumbai---playing in his 150th test----hope he gets at least one NOT OUT.

How many you are familiar with the Rev's 40/30 rule ?

Here it is:

EXAMPLE:

In the current series between the West Indies and India---India has 5 batsmen who average 40+ and 2 bowlers who average 30 or less---that's a total of 7 40/30 players; the West Indies has 3 batsmen who average 40+ and 0 bowlers who average less than 30 with the ball. That's 3 40/30 players for the WI.
