I know you are a great Shiv man but I was disappointed in that dismissal.

The truth is 39 year old Shiv is finally slowing down---he is aging.

In the past 7 years---since Jan 2007---Shiv has been outstanding----he has averaged over 70 in 48 tests.

http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/...pe=batting

But Shiv averaged only 38 in 15 matches for Derbyshire with only 1 hundred----that was a RED FLAG---in previous years Shiv dominated in county cricket---but in 2013 he was ordinary.

Shiv is a fighter and will continue to give 100%----but I am starting to feel he will not make it to 11,954----he will definitely get to 11,000----but right now----11,954 seems very distant.

HOPE I AM DEAD WRONG.

The way I see it ....unless he moves up the Order or Deo is selected .

He will run outta Partners .

and will either be the 9th man out OR remain not out !

#33
Had Deo been selected ahead of Permaul :

Things would have been different for Shiv batting score.

remember they had just completed a 173 runs partnership ... Wink

The Rev would have been pleased with a NOT OUT. ;D

Shiv currently has 42 NOT OUTS. He needs 5 more to surpass SWaugh.

But Shiv got out---he was the 9th man out----that's not good.

Hopefully Shiv adds to his NOT OUTS in the next innings. Big Grin
