Wow, that's like asking if your 12 year old son is a cricketer or a physicist.
He certainly has a long way to go, but he has the potential to be in the same class. But again, there are form slumps, etc. to be taken into account, lets see how he does - just making assumptions when he's at peak is pointless. Also he's not done much in Tests, as of yet, as in relatively speaking.
