do you know Brantford..where he was born and grew?

I live 10 minutes away.  I am often there or passing through.  its a poor, very bummy town with little going on save a casino.

Gretzky lives in a mansion in California..rich, rich, rich.  you think the people in Brantford care?

they know that that statue was built to keep them down in many ways, to focus them in hope and expectation that someday with hard work and talent they too can be like Gretzky.  but we all know that game. for the vast majority they don't have a snowball's chance in hell. and they know it.

so they pee on Gretzky starchoo every day.  the must have done something worse than pee this time.  I did not not even read the dam article.  no need to

where does my support come into it.... ::confused:: ::confused:: ::confused::

I know the place.  I was even considering living there because it is close to everything I do regularly...yet cheaper.

but man when I saw the hospital that was the decider.  if I had to go there for anything man just the sight of the place would make you weaker.

I am just telling you about the place not on the side of anyone in the equation.

in any case..as I said Brantford is close to everything..45 minutes to Toronto..half an hour to Hamilton.  you can work in TO and possibly get home to Brantford in less time than it would take to to get to Markham at the top of the Don valley parkway during rush hour...by picking up a Go train to Aldershot station just outside Hamilton, then up the 403 by car to Brantford.

I say that to suggest that most people probably leave Brantford at their earliest opportunity anyway.  and those who remain would be those who pee on Gretzky

this brings to something I noticed in my travels:

Canada is a big rich country but the money seems concentrated in a few areas..Alberta with the oil..in parts of British Columbia where the weather is wet but milder than in the rest of Canada, the recipient of great loads of migratory Asian/Pacific cash ..and in Ontario in the 'Golden Horshoe"....  an area stretching from Toronto in the east to Niagara Falls in the west, and up into VR Land in the north.. west into Halton Hills and Guelph.

outside of that its pure small towns, often poverty and lower material levels... and the full boonie lifestyle
