Actress  Divya Dutta, who impressed many with her powerful performance as Milkha Singh's sister in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's biopic 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag', feels the film deserved to be shortlisted as India's official entry for  the Academy Awards this year.

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is based on the life of former athlete Milkha Singh and featured  Farhan Akhtar in the title role. It garnered huge acclaim from both the critics and the audience.

"I would like to say that there were many films that were shortlisted for it, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, The Lunchbox, Ship Of Theseus. I think we deserved but it didn't happen," Divya told reporters.
