Poonam Pandey inspired by Smita Patil, Zeenat Aman

After playing a sexy teacher in her last Bollywood outing, Poonam Pandey's next will see her in a desi avatar.

Says the actress, "Rustic characters played by Smita Patil and Zeenat Aman have always inspired me. They looked sensuous even in a sari. I am keen to play an Indian beauty and am excited about the new role."

Adds scriptwriter Ajit Rajpal, "I have written the story keeping Poonam's personality in mind. During my interactions with her, I have observed her strong points. The role syncs well with her looks and gives her a different image."

Poonam, who grabbed headlines during the 2011 Cricket World Cup when she offered to go nude before Team India if they won the trophy, is confident that audiences will be satisfied with her performance in "Nasha".
