That's one theory anyway as to how an eel ended up needing to be removed from a Guangdong man's intestines, as he swears he has no idea how it came to be there. A doctor at the Shunde People's Hospital posted the above photo of a one kilogram eel that was surgically removed from a patient's guts. The eel was reportedly over 50cm long. The 39 year old man, who refused to elaborate on how an aquatic animal ended up swimming around inside him, remains in hospital. In 2010, a Dongguan man had to have a similar operation to remove an eel from his anus. He claimed to have inadvertently sat on a bucket of eels while taking a shower, and to be fair, who hasn't done the same at least once in their life? Netizens theorised that both men were inspired by a specific genre of pornography that involves sticking live eels and other fish up various bodily orifices. Either they are fake, or there's a lot of disturbed people in the world, Who would do such a thing?! I mean, even if he wanted to try something like this, why an eel? Why a living animal? ...And why 50cm long? I hope i never get such a weird idea.
