The Preakness - mapoui - 05-19-2012 won both the triactor and superfecta..... tri cost 22 dollars to win 70 super cost 96 to win 424.00 it was simple this time so the prices were low. Re: The Preakness - Kwami - 05-20-2012 Re: The Preakness - ketchim - 05-20-2012 Great job there , Mapoui .. Looks like we have a Triple Crown Winner : I'll have Another ....... Cheers ! Re: The Preakness - Kwami - 05-20-2012 There won't be a triple crown winner , the winner of the first 2 races or even the second place horse can go longer than one and a quarter mile . The Belmont is a gruelling one and a half mile Re: The Preakness - mapoui - 05-20-2012
There won't be a triple crown winner , the winner of the first 2 races or even the second place horse can go longer than one and a quarter mile . The Belmont is a gruelling one and a half mile
well I donk know kwami..... Bodemeister has the pedigree to do the mile and a half and more..so does the the double crown winner so far. I'll have another is the likely winner again unless there is a sooprise entrant who can beat him. I dont know of any other horse who looms apart form the entrants in the Derby and Preakness. and he beat the all already..easily. thats a real good horse man. he will have to be tired or a sooprise entrant to get beat. we likely have our first tripe crown winner since seatlle slew Re: The Preakness - Kwami - 05-20-2012 Last triple crown winner was Affirmed .. he beat Alydar in all three legs of the triple crown by less than one and a half lengths combined . The battle between these two is remenicent of those two Re: The Preakness - Kwami - 05-20-2012 memory fails me Maps but I seem to recall that Spectacular bid won the triple crown the year before seattle Slew, am I correct? Re: The Preakness - mapoui - 05-20-2012 http://www.pedigreequery.com/bodemeister above is the pedigree profile of Bodemeister. he comes out of the Native Dancer line and on thatside he has some real nice sires in there. but the key is his direct sire Empire Maker, a Belmont winner some 6 years ago. Empire Maker is transferring his genes as sire and commands a nice fee in the breeding shed. but if you go into the lines of transmission into his mother as well you will see some dymamite horse that can run all day long. his mothers line is Nothern Dancer the canadian great, from Neartic. but alo in there are 2 bold ruler lines...Seattle Slew and Secretariat..ony the 2 greatest race horses ever. then Roberto a great sire.there is Le Fableux a great distance influence. that is what the P in brackets by his name means. any horse in that line with P or S or both in brackets means distance pedigree and sire influence of a dominant charcter. those hoses are labled the dominant sires in the breed. B, C and I in brackets are also dominant characteristics and sires but for speed and intermediate distances. Bodemeister has one of the best peridgrees I have ever seen. ask anybody who knows. he appares to have an even better pedigree for the mile and a half than I'll Have Another. but that horse has the best his line can offer and its almost the same line on top as Bodemeister Re: The Preakness - mapoui - 05-20-2012
memory fails me Maps but I seem to recall that Spectacular bid won the triple crown the year before seattle Slew, am I correct?
probably...I too not up to date on those dates. what is important is we have'nt had one since those 2 I believe Re: The Preakness - chairman - 05-20-2012 what a race that was |
