In noting our sensitivities today about this matter we should remember that in the ancient world this was completely normal.  Women were not accorded the independence and rights they have now and needed a male figure to support them.  According to the Quran,Mohammed was married to a child, if memory  serves me right!  :kiss: :cheesy:

My Puwah was married off at 17, but she didn't move into her husband's house until she was 19. Her husband was 5 years older than her.
