Another year of CPL and GAW failed to take it all. They played entertaining cricket to get to the playoff. Once there their bowling let them down. 103 runs in 5 overs, and the batsmen are not even Pollard or Russell? Baffling that Smith and Shepherd are very experienced but they can’t find ways to contain batsmen. They are too predictable. Shepherd can’t get his yorker right despite years of playing.
Providence was different this year. Until this year it was a spinner’s paradise. Average score was just 140. This year well over 170.
