MY HEAD WAS CHOPPED OFF. ( Poem on behalf of Reshma Kanchan. ) - chairman - 10-05-2020 MY HEAD WAS CHOPPED OFF. ( Poem on behalf of Reshma Kanchan. ) I was just going to work that morning for a little salary to see me through to mind my children financially something you could not do I didn't thought my life would end today you were waiting for me to chop my flesh on the road way After five years of verbal and physical abuse crying out for help was deemed as no use I am only 25 years old most of my story is still left untold Five months ago I couldn't take it no more I left you finally but you had vengeance for sure Countless threats you made to take my life clearly it meant nothing to you that I am your wife many heard to no avail they were never loud enough to put you behind a police jail When I was small I read about the Cinderella story I thought when I met a man this would be to my glory I was slapped hard several times about the face and body, beaten tough and talked to very rough brought down low with words of insult, disrespect and degrade you know you hit my mother and family several times everyday was like hell and disgrace as the sun shines They say a real good man suppose to protect and provide you turned out to be the opposite with pride you left two children without their mother who cared for them none like any other For those who had the intelligence to check my post inside my profile at hand as they read they would understand I did mentioned I never left you for another man as my body lay dead like a carcass on the nations floor I do hope Trinidad and Tobago will bring me justice for sure according to the court of law One lesson to learn from God looking down from heaven above at my dead body this could never be love.
