That's the issue for Minnesota. Not only did the Wolves bank on Wiggins becoming a two-way superstar, they doubled down and prematurely paid him like one when they gave him a five-year, $148 million extension in 2017. Now, they are now hamstrung by that decision, and due to Wiggins' lack of development, they find themselves in a sticky situation.

The problem is the Minnesota franchise itself. that Franchise eve since I have been in the NBA myself... 50 years now..has been the most consistently run stupid organization of anything at all in he whole world

this is their administrative MO every time they need new administrative personnel because they had to fire the man like they just fired Tom Thibodeau: look for the toughest, thickest, most florid, low IQ basketball, hard headed man in the field available out there and give him everything..the whole show.
so they made 'Tom Thibs' President, GM and head coach..5 year contract at lots per year. I guess the whole NBA must have shook its head over that.
did the NBA have a quite talk about Minnesota about their ownership practices. I think Adam Silver ought to do that..tell them to go get a consultant to asses their business and come up with what to do to get the franchise rolling.
that's going to be tuff when they have tried the same thing every time for 50 years failed and tried again
and that format may indeed work but for the men they keep choosing. they go get the worst, most lousy basketball men on the market to run their franchise. Minnesota kills the spirit of their players..cant get their best out of them. now they have paid Wiggins so much they cant get rid of him
that's bad for Wiggins too save for the money. he will never be the player he can be in Minnesota. he needs a real team, with a real basketball coach for that to happen..not Tom Thibodeau..all-doh he has been fired. I don't even know who the new man is

The only shooting “specialist” on the team is Anthony Tolliver, who Thibodeau brought in using the team’s mid-level exception this offseason. Tolliver has been slightly inconsistent but that should be somewhat expected considering his up-and-down playing time over the course of the season.
