Jaguars donate to Pike St Fire victims - chairman - 03-20-2018
Following up on initiative by National Off-spinner Steven Jacobs who resides on the northern section of Pike Street in Kitty, opposite where four houses were gutted by fire in the wee hours of March 7, the Guyana Jaguars Cricket team yesterday made a monetary donation to families who lost their homes.

The 29-year-old Jacobs, who last represented the Jaguars last year in Regional First-Class tournament, told Kaieteur Sports that he was moved to render assistance to the families who had lost all of their possessions in the fiery debacle.
“I Live almost opposite where the three houses were burnt to the ground and entire upstairs of the fourth was completed destroy so I unfortunately witnessed my neighbour’s homes going up in flames.”
Jacobs said he felt compelled to help but he could not do alone, so he reached to his extended family (the Jaguars team) and the Management of the four times defending Regional First-Class Cricket Champions did the hesitate when approached to help.

doubt if any of the previous home owners (my neighbours) are still alive !
