This will be Walsh's first major coaching role in international cricket since retiring
in 2001 as the then leading wicket-taker in Tests.
He has since worked as a cricket administrator in various roles including
West Indies selector, mentor with Jamaica Tallawahs in the CPL, and as manager of
the West Indies Under-19 team.
Most recently, Walsh served as part of the West Indies selection panel.

Walsh will be the second high-profile West Indian in a coaching role with Bangladesh.
Gordon Greenidge, the former West Indies opener, was the coach who steered
Bangladesh to the 1999 World Cup via victory at the 1997 ICC Trophy.

Cuddy's got his work cut out for him. Rubel Hossan and Shanfiul Islam have taken 7 wickets each over the last 3 years - the most by any Bangladesh pace bowler. As a group, Bangladesh seamers have taken 34 wickets in 14 matches over the last 3 years at an average of 59.82 and strike-rate of 113.7. :o

At the insistence of Mashrafe, Bangladesh's limited-overs captain,
head coach Chandika Hathurusingha, there has been an influx of pace bowlers with
varied skills, who have been used cleverly over the last two years.
Mashrafe banks on his experience to move the ball, while Rubel and Taskin Ahmed
offer pace and a bit of swing...

So!! why didn't the west indies cricket board use Walsh's talent and expertise till now!! Do greats like him have to beg for a coaching or mentor role!!!!!!!!!!! Big loss for West Indies but gain for cricket in the sub continent.
