Jenazah Thursday...Reg Friday - mapoui - 06-08-2016 I had no idea that Muslims loved Ali this much. the outpouring especially from Pakistan and the Middle East has been tremendous. and it appears to be sincere. King Addullah will be there and so on Re: The Muhammad Ali 'Ral... Jenazah Thursday...Reg Friday - Nargis - 06-08-2016 you and me both mapoui...but its nice to see Re: The Muhammad Ali 'Ral... So my first reaction to some of the fatuous statements in today’s media, reported by (mainly) men who had met Muhammad Ali, was impatience. They’re opportunists, I thought. Theirs is another testimony to record the passing of a special person by someone whose role in that greatness is insignificant. Yet, I find myself now wanting to give testimony, even from my very distant perch. Re: The Muhammad Ali 'Ral... He said so. His Black Nationalist statements and beliefs were eventually underpinned by his identity as a Muslim and his assertion of his values as a Muslim, this against widespread opposition and resistance from others. (Although there may be many today who’d deny this.) Re: The Muhammad Ali 'Ral... Jenazah Thursday...Reg Friday - mapoui - 06-08-2016 African scholars say Bilal was not a slave but the prophets right hand man. and had he Bilal succeeded the prophet as the prophet wanted, Islam would have remained on course but Bilal did not want the succession |
