There was a contest hosted in Britain, to promote the freedom of speech were contestants were to submit a poem insulting Erdogan. The ex-mayor of London won the 1000pound prize in the competition, having written a poem about the turkish president having sex with a goat.
There were many contestants and the prize money was donated by a reader. The purpose of the contest was summed in the lines below:
Quote:“ErdoÄŸan may imprison his opponents in Turkey. Chancellor Merkel may imprison ErdoÄŸan’s critics in Germany. But in Britain we still live and breathe free. We need no foreign potentate to tell us what we may think or say. And we need no judge, especially no German judge, to instruct us over what we may find funny.â€
Meanwhile a Hamburg courtroom has banned pieces from Jan Boemerman's poem about Erdogan being republished or redistributed.

he says what great men do, the lesser will write poems about
and pass Go , and collect 1000 pound sterling!
