Take That, Experts! - zacaroni - 04-01-2016 Quote:This will probably be too much runs for West Indies, most thought, when India racked up 192 runs in the semi-final of the ICC World Twenty20 2016. For them to win Chris Gayle has to bat deep into the innings and stage the kind of pyrotechnics that saw the big left-hander smashing 100 in 48 deliveries versus England. India's was a huge score. Surely some significant contribution was required from the game's most powerful hitter for the Caribbean side to triumph. Cricbuzz Re: Take That, Experts! - chairman - 04-01-2016 coverage was overly biased to india. Re: Take That, Experts! - zacaroni - 04-01-2016 To be honest after seeing India's score I thought we needed a sizable contribution from Gayle for us to win Re: Take That, Experts! - Captain - 04-01-2016 Gayle waiting for Sunday Re: Take That, Experts! - dillinger10 - 04-01-2016
This will probably be too much runs for West Indies, most thought, when India racked up 192 runs in the semi-final of the ICC World Twenty20 2016.
In actuality, India's 192 was a below par total on this wicket. In the 8 innings prior to this match, the average score here was 195. The average score in the three prior World Cup matches played here was even higher - a whopping 201. Sky commentators - including Kumar Sangakkara - thought India's score was a decent total but one that was very chasebale. And it was.
