Former Pakistan skipper Imran Khan feels that the national cricket team should not play its scheduled World T20 match against India in Dharamsala on March 19 given the "hateful statements and resistance" shown by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh.
According to Dawn News, Imran told the media on Sunday that he was disappointment with the statements issued by the Chief Minister.
"The statement by the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister is an irresponsible one and is totally against the standards of hospitality and hosting. The Chief Minister's statements clearly promote hate," said Imran.
"Amid this situation, I don't believe the Pakistan team should play at Himachal Pradesh," he added.

They should play. Politics shouldn't be mingled with cricket. Cricket is and always will be a gentleman's game. If they want to prove anything, then they should perform their best and give the spectators a lovely match to see.
Though the Himachal CM remark was not what is expected from India. He should learn the hospitality from states like Assam which hosted the south asian games

ESPNcricinfo has learned that the report was handed over to the board and Pakistan's federal interior minister, Chaudary Nisar, after which it was decided that the Pakistan team would not travel to India on Wednesday as scheduled.
The PCB had, earlier on Tuesday, written to the ICC chief executive David Richardson asking to consider an alternative venue for the marquee match on March 19. It is understood to have proposed Kolkata or Mohali as a replacement for Dharamsala.
A senior BCCI official said the Indian board was made aware of the fact that the PCB had informed the ICC about not being "keen on playing" in Dharamsala but appeared confident the match could still be moved to an alternate venue.
"They have not conveyed it (not playing in Dharamsala) to ICC as a decision, but as a suggestion," the official told ESPNcricnfo. According to him the two back-up venues could be Bangalore and Kolkata. "Mohali is already hosting two (Pakistan) matches. Kolkata already has one match. Delhi, we all know the issues there (the Delhi & District Cricket Association struggling to get various clearances to host matches)."

Imran khan then went on to say that the Indians should follow the example of the Pakistanis with regards to standards of hospitality and hosting, like shooting up the tour bus of the Sri Lankan cricketers when the team was in Pakistan

The match is mostly shifted to Kolkata. A three man team visited Dharamshala and apparently the arrangements were not up to the high standards of security they want. The Himachal Pradesh government is at fault here and I can't believe they will choose to plat petty politics over India's national pride.
