Fox: Trump Wanted $5M to Be in Debate - chairman - 01-29-2016
Fox News reports Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump asked the TV network for $5 million in exchange for appearing in Thursday night’s debate. Trump had ditched the GOP event in favor of his own “Special Event to Benefit Veterans Organizationsâ€â€”which he claimed had raised $6 million for his foundation while overshadowing the debate in the process. The network said in a statement, “Trump offered to appear at the debate upon the condition that Fox News contribute $5 million to his charities. We explained that was not possible and we could not engage in a quid pro quo, nor could any money change hands for any reason.â€

If this is true, then one should probably take a dim view of Donald trump. He has been very vociferous in proclaiming that he has all the remedies to any perceived ills that have may have befallen his country.
However, it dosesn't seem to be appropriate for him to abandon his professed quest to rescue his country, if even only briefly, to go off to raise funds which might be of help to others but will more be like self-gratification for himself.
This causes one to wonder how serious is he about his quest.

Fox should have paid up, 'coz it made a world of difference to their ratings. I won't even watch the highlights of the debate now
