Michael Muirhead, the CEO of WICB :
confirmed the players' retirements and hoped they would do well in the MCL.
"This is a tournament [for those] who have retired from international cricket," he said. :
"We wish for a successful tournament and we hope the opportunity for all the players prove valuable."

When is Retirement NOT Retired ??
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) are the boards
who have flagged the ICC.
There is thought to be at least one more board that has raised concerns. :-[
