For those that didn't get a chance to see this live, here is Chris Gayle's record-tying innings against the Strikers. His fifty came off just 12 balls, equaling Yuvraj Singh's record. What a knock, and so glad I got to see this one live.

As you keenly observed in the Big Bash League thread, Gayle did this without his gold bat. It was also great to see the outpouring of love as he left the field, and the throngs of children all lining up waiting for an autograph. I believe at one point I even saw Gayle give his Renegades cap to one lucky fan in the audience.

It's also good to see Gayle hitting the headlines for the right reasons aswell this time. I know that I for one would rather hear about his exploits such as this ON the pitch, rather than what he days or does off it.
