How you might ask. That whole region is in shambles. Libya and Egypt for example are borderline functioning failed states filled with corruption and chaos. A lot of free boats, weapons tech for the islamists. The group was always there, they just manifested in the chaos with Syria.
The lesser evil was the best option(secular dictatorships) but when they get taken down(with nato support) its like the wild middle east.

Why don't the 14 African countries stop paying France colonial tax and feed the kids.
Syria the streets turn into pool of children blood. I never read I any Era where tyrants just drone kids. This Era is the worst I human history. I pray for those kids.
