Worcestershire open to Moeen as opener - chairman - 08-28-2015
Worcestershire have indicated their willingness to help should England decide they want to turn Moeen Ali into a Test opener in the UAE.
Moeen has already said he would be open to the idea and Steve Rhodes, Worcestershire's director of cricket, told the club website - perhaps with a view to ensuring Moeen's availability after the ODI series with Australia - that a move up the order could be accommodated.

Opening for Worcs. isn't going to do much for preparing him to open for England against Pakistan and SA. It might just be fine in UAE..Its to be understood that I'm not against him opening there,but it's gonna be another story against Steyn in SA.
Opening is a specialist position,maybe Moeen is not ready,or maybe he is,but he is wasted at No. 8. He's such an elegant batsman and should bat above Butler
