3rd Test: Sri Lanka v India at Colombo - dillinger10 - 08-28-2015

This should be a run-fest with bowlers made to work hard for their wickets. Since 2010, batsman have averaged 41.01 per dismissal - the highest for any venue to have hosted at least five Test matches over this period. Four out of the last five Test matches here have ended in a draw.

Sri Lanka should feel confident - they are unbeaten at the SSC since 2004 and India haven't beaten Sri Lanka here since 1993.

India's fourth new opening combination in six matches fails to get off to a good start as Rahul is bowled second ball.

Edit: Rahane is out now too. India 14/2. Much like in the second Test, Sri Lanka have struck with 2 quick wickets.

Pujara's back. When I first saw him, I was convinced he was the heir to Dravid. Will be interesting to see how he fares now that he's back.

Quote:Is this test going in the same direction as the previous test? In both occasions India were 2 down very early in the innings with a wicket falling in the first over and followed by a drop catch (previously by Mubarak & now by his replacement Kusal Perera).

An interesting observation someone had made.We needa keep track of this as well.

Also @TRINIDADDY : Exactly Kohli and Pujara,if they can see off Prasad, who was jagging it all around, they an build up a good total.

Love to see him play.Reminds me of Dravid.A class apart, but yeah,no comparisons.

Looks like Pujara pulled a Dravid today. And Rohit Sharma continues to be the most overrated thing since sliced bread. The guy is a poor man's Chris Gayle, or a slightly luckier version of Ricardo Powell.

He is a liability to be honest.he just can't thrive on stating,i have got the talent and i will show it once in a while.Useless chap, put him as the 12th man,ask him to serve drinks.

I am serious, let him realize the value of his spot.He has to compete to get his spot..

His ass is all pampered now, give it a thorn in the flesh.

I just took a look at the weather forecast for the rest of the Test and it does not look good. Rain and thunderstorms are predicted over the next three days. A result here might prove exceedingly challenging.
