To use the contemporary idiom, there will be an elephant in the room when Clive Lloyd and his fellow selectors

choose the West Indies team for the first Test against Australia in Dominica, from June 3 to 7.

Would be nice for Shiv to beat up on a 5th Ozzie Captain over 20+ years :

Is Steve Smith the new skipper ?? :-\

Quote:Do Lloyd and his colleagues interpret the sudden, dramatic slump of the one, consistently reliable West Indies batsman during the continuing period of decline as the immediate end to his extraordinary career?

Didnt the board interpret the same about Kanhai in '74 and left him out of the touring side to India/Pak under new skipper Lloyd?

Didn't the same board brought back the even older Kanhai in the 75 WC?

he did not perform too shabby for an old chap who supposedly lost it, eh!!

btw - ask Chappell what Rod Marsh told him in the WC final when Rohan came to the crease and faced several balls....."Rohan still got it"

Tongue

Kanhai is a footnote circa 2015    :-[
