The West Indies took the honours on an intriguing first day of the last Test as England failed to survive hiccups and got to stumps on 240 for seven.
A very handsomely compiled century by captain Alastair Cook (105) was the highlight of a fairly ordinary effort by his countrymen with his bat but he could not carry his bat for the day and was caught behind off Marlon Samuels on the last ball before stumps.

It was a good display from the West Indies bowlers yesterday. The only fault was not getting Cook earlier before he could have reached a century. I hope they can get the remaining 3 wickets early today and limit England to under 320 runs.

So England has been dismissed for 257 in 45 minutes on day two. Great bowling from the bowlers and it is now the batsmen time to get a good lead and make the bowlers push for the victory.

England are set to resume on 39/5 after the Windies bowlers hit back hard last evening. They lead by 107 runs.
