WI vs SA lessons - TRINIDADDY - 02-27-2015
1. When Gayle scores big in an innings at the top of the order, you need to put him down the order in the next game. The likelihood of performing twice in the same spot is low.
2. Drop Dwayne Smith and ban him from all WI cricket.
3. Taylor is only good with the new ball. Bowl him out by the 25-30th over.
4. Holder is only good with the new ball, and the early mid-overs. Bowl him out by the 25-30th over.
5. Versus big teams, go heavy spin during the last 10 overs. Let Gayle, Samuels and Benn handle this period. All the teams - except the Aussies - are batting cautiously for the first 40 overs, working their way to 200 runs. They then explode with wickets in hand. Our pace bowlers make this expoding easier. Rather than using spin and part timers in the middle period, you need to use them at the end.
6. Simmons need to remember that he can review his dismissals. He and Carter weren't supposed to be out.
7. Fly in Paint.
8. When playing South Africa, dont get more than 2 or 3 wickets. This brings AB in.
