Generation Y :aka Millenials - ketchim - 01-29-2015

There's a certain conventional wisdom about the generation of workers born in the 1980s and 1990s.

And that would indeed be the right way to go in some countries such as France,

where half of the millennials in a recent global survey said attaining a leadership position

is very important.

But not so much in Sweden and Norway, where only 20% of Swedes and 15% of Norwegians

said they value becoming leaders.  :-\

The millennial generation grew up in a global village, connected across borders by the

internet and social media.  Wink

Those links have helped produce a cohort with many shared experiences, values and attitudes.

But just how much alike are millennials around the world, particularly when it comes to

career and workplace issues?

That's a very good sign.

It shows that the people there aren't power hungry, and have more respect for human decency.
