You would have better traction with me if you were to suggest that there exists more evidence that we created the gods rather than visa versa. 8)

No it's not.  While it may have some claims of being around a little longer than the other religions, it is not as old as the dawn of the first Homo Sapiens.  At least there exists presently no credible evidence to suggest this.

Actually, Smith was a bit more literate than the other huckster/charlatan.  However, his story of divine revelation (God's words written on golden plates which he, and he alone, was allowed to see) is no more incredulous than that of Mohammed's.

Same explanation for the Bridge that de huckster built to rescue the goddess Sita ?  :-\

From the evil Ravan ...

Yep.  The Hindu religious stories are but a different manifestation of the same ignorance.

I've said it once before, and I'll say it again.  I am of the view that ALL religions are just different versions of the same untruths and ignorance.

Snoop meant to say that....and he is right!

the untruth and ignorance entered the scene when Egos took over men's brains and they started interpreting god's teachings and then fight over whose interpretation is wrong and whose is right!

What are these 'truths' that you claim (not I) that all religions have in common?  I would dearly love to hear them.

Apart from one common factor (the belief that there is a celestial deity responsible for our creation) all the different religions have wildly and discrepant accounts of what, who, or where "God" is and how he/she/it intercedes in our personal everyday lives.

Religious warfare is but a testament to this non-consensus.
