Hughesy 63 N.O. Forever - DownUnda - 11-27-2014 RIP young bloke What a charismatic young man, gone too soon Re: Hughesy 63 N.O. Forever - Calypso - 11-27-2014 This is really way too sad .... No matter who this cricketer was and from whatever team ... just gone too soon from a freak accident. In living memory can recall some severe injuries (from Contractor to Boucher, Gibbs etc.) but cannot recall a death ... too sad, a promising career and just a few days before 26th birthday.... Oww but spare a thought for the bowler Abbott ...... oh darn !!!
Re: Hughesy 63 N.O. Forever - DownUnda - 11-27-2014 I can't begin to imagine what Abbott is going tru, he was responsible for Hughesy demise albeit a freak accident. That has to be nitemarish for him Re: Hughesy 63 N.O. That has to be nitemarish for him [/quote] Absolutely ...... must be a nightmare for him ...may most likely be the end of his cricketing career !!! Re: Hughesy 63 N.O. Forever - Mail - 11-27-2014 I hope Abbott comes through this and it is good he is getting support immediately. No bowler has that intent and I wish him the best in his recovery. Re: Hughesy 63 N.O. Forever - ketchim - 11-27-2014 I just tune in : this is heartbreaking ! Rest In Peace , Phil Hughes. My condolences to your loved ones . Re: Hughesy 63 N.O. Stay strong lad! Re: Hughesy 63 N.O. Forever - Calypso - 11-28-2014 In a press conference this morning, a day after Hughesy's death, James Sutherland of Cricket Australia said that ongoing support and counselling is being given to cricketers expecially Sean Abbott. He added that he was impressed with how the young man appeared to be handling this difficult situation.......... He also said that no decision had yet been made as to whether the first Test vs India would go ahead. CA have taken a very sensitive approach and have been commended for this. I believe that it is up to the players themselves if they want to play.... Click here >>> Re: Hughesy 63 N.O. Forever - Calypso - 11-28-2014 A day after his death ... it has begun to sink into peoples' minds after the initial shock and the tributes continue across the world. I read somewhere that there were so many cricketers at the hospital on Thursday that they were on a roster to be at his bedside !!
