World Cup prize pot grows ever bigger - dillinger10 - 11-13-2014

The winners will take home US$3.975m but if a team remains unbeaten that would rise to more than US$4.02m.

Quote: The ICC has raised the pot of prizemoney from US$8.01m to US$10m. The team which loses the March 29 final in Melbourne will pocket US$1.75m, while the two losing semifinalists will each get US$600,000.

The four losing quarterfinalists will receive US$300,000, while the winners of each group will get US$45,000 per match.

The six teams eliminated from the first stage will get US$35,000 each.

Only the winners of the groups (top team from each group) will get that prize money or every team who wins the group match will get the 45K?

I believe that the winner of each group match receives $45k and teams eliminated in the group stage will take home $35k.
