* Headley only played in 22 tests.
* No way a batsman can be deemed an all time great after playing in only 22 tests.
* 16 of Headley's 22 tests were played against England---and he dominated the Pommies averaging 71.23 with 8 hundreds and 5 fifties.
* But against the Aussies Headley only averaged 37.33 in 5 tests---although he did score 2 hundreds against them.
BOTTOM LINE:
* Headley put up great numbers in his 22 tests----you can't deny that----but he should never make an all time WI team-----22 tests is not enough.

Headley was taken to Jamaica at the age of 10 to perfect his English :

and to prepare to study dentistry in America.

One of his sons, Ron, an opening batsman, played twice for West Indies in England in 1973,
and his grandson Dean played Test cricket for England....

Extrapolate the figures . If he had played 110 test matches he would have scored 50 test centuries
