Thakoordeen’s 96 guides Port Mourant to semi-final - chairman - 09-25-2014
The Berbice Bridge Company Inc (BBCI) 2014 First Division 50-over knockout cricket competition continued last weekend with one first round match and two games from the second round.
A brilliant innings of 96 from Devendra Thakoordeen spearheaded Port Mourant to victory over Police to help them gain a place in the semi-finals. After Police made 204 in 46.4 overs with Brentnol Woolford leading the way with 73, Port Mourant slipped to 27-2, before Thakoordeen took charge and featured in a 142-run third wicket stand with former Guyana Under-19 all-rounder Loyydel Lewis.
