Questions will continue to be asked about Cook’s suitability for the job, but few will deny that in this game his decisions were vindicated. Indeed, it’s not just that the sky’s not fallen in; look closely and there’s streaks of dappled sunlight breaking through the clouds. Chief among those was Moeen Ali.

It is too early to call him an inform batsmen,but he really batted well in the last test.He was all jittery during that 95,but in that 2nd innings he showed why he is a class apart.Solid 70...
If he can continue this,it surely will spell doom for India.

Yes. Cook scored runs in both innings of the third test but that is too soon for claims that he is back to his best. The first innings were scratchy at best and the second innings was a free for all. He needs to score a daddy hundred like he was known for to really get back in the groove and for people to get off his back. His captaincy though, i am afraid will never be up to standards. He just does not have it in him.
