Rohit Sharma likely to play at Ageas Bowl - chairman - 07-25-2014 Stuart Binny has bowled only 20 overs in two Tests of this series. In the second innings at Lord's, he was not called upon to bowl at all. Although he has played a match-saving innings, signs from India's training sessions leading into the Test suggest they are ready to go back to the more orthodox combination of playing six specialist batsmen with MS Dhoni batting at No. 7 and with four specialist bowlers to follow. The sixth batsman, if India carry on with the trends from the nets, will be Rohit Sharma, who has scored two centuries in his six Tests but was left out to accommodate the extra seam-bowling allrounder. Re: Rohit Sharma likely to play at Ageas Bowl - boquiesse - 07-25-2014 Not bad when you can call on someone with a 56.88 batting average. BUT his two centuries are in his first two tests against the WI. His scores away from home are less impressive. Re: Rohit Sharma likely to play at Ageas Bowl - bala24 - 07-26-2014 Why should Binny be left out,he bowled only 20 overs an wasn't given opportunity to show his bowling strength at all and he played a match saving innings for them. It should be Dhawan who gets the whack,he is talented but he seems irresponsible playing all those rash shots. Remove Shikhar Dhawan and add Gauti and if they really want binny out replace him with R. Ashwin |
