This was a great read. Thanks for sharing this. Paul Newman echoed similar thoughts regarding a lack of potential captains in his article in the Mail today http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/cricket/article-2703435/Clamour-Joe-Root-England-captain-shows-dearth-leaders-county-game.html.

Skook needs a rest.

england not winning this series so give him that rest now..make anderson captain and JOE ROOT v cap.

bring back Skook next  year with the possibility of reappointment as captain..or by that time Root might be considered ready to be appointed fully as captain for the next 8-10 years.. with freedom to learn on the job as well.

let Skook return to purely an opening batsman with a mandate to break all scoring records if he cyan

He needs to get back to his basis and with some first class matches under his belt,he might brim with confidence. All he needs is a break from this.
He has got it in him to bounce back. You can see him prodding at length balls,it is all confidence, had it been the cook of the past,he would dispatch those to long.
Cook at his helm can be a force..he better be soon..!!
